Welcome to the website of The Sikh Golf Society of Great Britain
It is with great pleasure that the Sikh Golf Society announces its programmes for 2010.
This year the committee decided to support Save the Children and Age Concern charities as well as other good causes. As usual at this time of the year, the committee members families prepared food and were delighted to be able to serve the homeless as well as our elders in the community.
We will continue our support for our Young Golfers Programme during 2010 where we hope we can get more kids into the game of golf.
We have chosen some exciting new golf courses which are spread around the country. The ‘Player of the Year Award’, sponsored by The Royal Bank of Scotland, will be held on the cumulative score of three games as detailed below. The award will be presented at The Captain’s Ball in October in the presence of dignitaries, families and friends.
We kick off our 2010 tournaments as follows: The Vaisakhi Cup at The Surry National on Friday 16th April 2010 The Independance Cup at The Warwickshire Golf Club on Friday 23rd July 2010 The Diwali Cup/Captains Ball at the Cobham Golf Club in Surrey on Friday 22nd October 2010 Please see further information in the events section or download the latest newsletter and entry form.
